Almost done with all the weapon Depth Maps. I think I need like 2 opengl Games and the Stalker Games. Then I will port it too 2.0 This will be my last port to Reshade 2.0

Also will be making 1.9.0 the main shader soon.

Hello, BlueSkyDefender. I have noticed your last Incarnation of your shader - The 'SidebySideToElse.fx', and I was wondering if Anaglyph 3D is being added to it in the near, future if at all, given I have come across a Game that has Native Side-By-Side 3D Built into it ?

My respects~

I would Greatly Appreciate. By the way, I have not been using Tridef or Nvidia 3D Vision ever since Reshade 3.0 came out. You're doing a hell of a Good Job at putting paid and intricate alternatives to sleep.

Thank you~

Updates to SidebySideToElse and SuperDepth3D
Added Anaglyph conversion to SBStoElse.
Also added Depth Map for The S.T.A.L.K.E.R games.

Also Stalker was one of the games that lost compatibility in windows 10 With Long Load times and Issues running in the first place.

But, once it gets going it's a wonderful game to play.

Hi Bluesky, I've just stumbled upon this site and your 3d shader when superdepth3d was mentioned on tridef site (after it bugged out when one of the games it ran fine on was patched a fews ago and now it's totally borked). I've tried to read quite a few of the posts, I got to about page 10 or so, but I wasn't really that much wiser about how to set set it up or anything.

When it comes to this sort of thing, the most I've ever done is mod a few .ini files.

I know you've done a lot of selfless work on this, I'd really like to give this a try and to my untrained eye, it looks like it's a real alternative to tridef that cost me almost $40, but right now I'm not confident I'll set it up right so it would be really useful to have some sort of sticky with an "idiots guide" for people like me to see what downloads are needed, and how to get started. Might not be necessary to include all the game settings etc, but it would also be helpful if the ones that have been posted in this thread were all in one place and not spread over 33 pages (maybe I could help with that?)

Also I'd like to ask if this if this system would work with passive 3D, as well as active? I'm looking to upgrade my active 3D 1080p TV (a sony bravia with horrible crosstalk issues even with native 3d like bioshock infinite) to a passive 3D 4k TV within a week or so, and with tridef obviously open to breaking easily when a game gets patched I need a reliable alternative to justify the cost outlay, tridef have also said they won't do any more VR support either which is something you might want to look into as a way to get better coverage (and paying customers!)

Ya I can make a Simple YouTube Guide.

What game are you wanting to play?

As for 4K tvs I use a Samsung UN48JS9000 Curved 48-Inch 4K TV. It's Active 3D. I use Top-bottom or Side By Side. Not to much Crosstalk. The Glasses.... oh the glasses. Buy a extra set and batteries.

I also did testing on my friends monitor he has a Samsung SyncMaster S27A950D 27" 3D monitor. Colors where off in 3D mode.
I also did testing on my other friends monitor a Asus VG27AH 3D monitor. Strange cross talk in the corners.

Tv's I am interested in. But, not available in the US. www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-49UH850V It's Passive 3D.

The Thing with passive 3D You kind of have to sit back away from the tv. It also depend on the size of the tv you will get Crosstalk if you don't center your self.

As for VR ya there has been work on that. As I am only one person and lack a lot of the hardware work will be slow on that.

amagerd..... I typed a whole thing and it timed out..... arse.

ok here goes - that TV you want, that's what I'm looking to buy, if there was a safe way to get it to you, I'd consider helping you out as I'm in the UK.

Games I want to play... all of them, yes really. It's been a 30 year wait for reasonable 3D gaming to appear, I'm going to take full advantage of it before I'm too old to play!

Examples... Elder scrolls series from Morrowind, probably using the latest morroblivion mashup of morrowind rendered in the oblivion engine or even the skyrim, once they figure out how to stop the NPC's being naked all the time :P MMO's - Neverwinter, Archeage, LOTRO, Rift is sort of ok with simulated 3D but slightly out of focus, so a dedicated 3D renderer would be great - each of those have either lost or never had Tridef compatibility. Elder Scrolls Online also lost it's tridef sometime between a year ago and now.

Recent loss was Path of Exile after a recent patch (diablo type isometric dungeon crawl rpg), tridef no longer works at all, no word on if DDD intend to fix it.

Other games I'm interested in: Evochron Legacy, an "Elite alike" space flight sim, and some of the later "X" games from the series might be interesting - Dishonored 1+2... lots more. lots. lots. more.

The no VR hardware issue, it really must be worth you asking the various companies for a dev kit, what you are doing can only help sell more units, and only games in current development will get any form of VR treatment, despite a huge back catalogue of other games that would be transformed by 3D. You've spent a lot of time furthering what is in effect THIER end goal, with proven, consistent and repeatable results, they can only say yes or no, right?

Or maybe stick new versions of your code behind a small paypal paywall? gotta be worth the price of a beer at least?

You can't imagine how it feels to be almost within grasp of a lifelong held gaming dream, only to have to wait because the developer houses weren't really ready for it and don't even seem like they are rushing to get behind it - I'm getting the distinct impression that many devs are waiting to see how many VR units get sold before they really jump into it, leaving guys like you to do thier work.

I'm really excited (maybe a bit overmuch) to see that there's a real alternative to tridef close to hand rather than having to wait at least 2 years for 2nd gen VR units to get thier collective ducks in a row as far as resolution and other things like that depth of focus thing using eye tracking Nvidia have been working on.

Anyway I'll stop rambling, and let you do your stuff, looking forward to trying it for myself, once I get my head around installing it :)

take it easy fella

So I tested Path of Exile Dx11 Beta. The problem is that it's a Online Game. Reshade has Issue with games that are online since it disables the Depth map when a saturated network connection is detected or something like that.

But, if no one chats and you are in a world alone and don't move you can see it does work for little bit if you don't move or touch anything to send information back to the server.

Here a picture of what I'm talking about.

If it was not for this Self imposed limitation on reshade it would work.

1.9.0 Shader is now the main shader 1.8.9 Has Been placed in legacy.

The Back port of 1.9.0 to Resahde 2.0 is done.
Many Game updates and weapon Depth Maps changes added.

I need to update the Text Guide. I also need to Update a few other things and I need to add a Quick youtube guide.

The HMD Shader is next up to get worked on. This shader needs Profiles added to it.

POE was always an online game and worked with Tridef just fine until about a week ago - or is the above issue because of the different tecniques used?

I was testing it with my Shader and Resahde. As you know Reshade Disables the Depth Map in Online Games. This is a self imposed limitation to ward off cheaters.

I will look in the the tridef issue you have. I do own Tridef aswell. But never updated passed 7.0 and ignition 3.9.5. I keep saying no to the updates.

I tested this game and it works with DX11 Beta.

TriDef 7.0 and ignition 3.9.5 Works both in Power and normal 3D

Looks nice. If there is a problem message support about it. Or do what I did find a old download for this version and don't update.

Is Reshade 2.0 has less bugs than 3.0.5 ? if some games doesn't work correctly or doesn't work at all with 3.0.5 would Reshade 2.0 be better ? might even better performance ? I never used Reshade 2.0 , but you might know . is it worth to try ?

ReShade 2.0 is slower, sometimes significantly so. It does work in some cases where 3.0 does not though. Still, worse choice.
