@LuciferHawk: What are your DoF settings?

For the current dev build, I made some (small) changes to the DoF code to add to the 3-dimensional illusion which I first have to discuss with Marty (since it is his domain of the Framework), so again, any of my settings will not help you.
However, concerning your problem, I would currently activate DOF_MANUALFOCUS and increase the DOF_FARBLURCURVE (something between 0.5 and 1.0)

Of course, here is the preset . Use AO in game, turn off FXAA and DOF. I edited some values to make it work properly at 1080p, i hope it works fine.

I polished the poo (Aliens: Colonial Marines) with Framework and ReShade 0.1.7.0.

I´ll tried to rebuild the look from the Helmet Cam. like in the movie AL()ENS. But it´s very hard to keep the game playable with those presents. If you want to, you can download it here.
