FYI guys, Isolation already has a lens texture and lens dirt shader, but it's extremely subtle and only used in a couple of sections of the game.
Pretty sure you could lift the texture file somehow and use it with reshade.

As for the dof question from earlier. If you want to increase the "distance to see" I am guessing you want to change the clip curve (how near/far the blur starts) and the blur curve (how much blur occurs).

Why would i want to lift a low res dirt texture that's most likely fully integrated into the game files, when i can just use a high res custom scratched lens texture which is 2160 x 1440 :)

I meant it as you can replace/delete/disable the one in the game.
I think it's somewhere around 2k texture res from what I've seen after playing around with Cheat Engine.

Though I suggest you turn off bloom and lensdirt in some of the game sections because it makes it really hard to play. Especially on some nebulas and near the suns.
I tried to tweak the default master effect palette, but I think I'll just go and replace it with a different one.

Today it got an update enabling support for DX11 and 64bit. Also, it got all forms of AA in-game removed except for FXAA. So, no depth buffer anymore.


EDIT: My god lol Those HR's ss are amazing xD

@Aelius Maximus would you mind detailing how you (enb)injected into VLC please, I couldn't get it working


[update: I put the output mode as OpenGL, that seemed to do it, thanks.. works ok with MasterEffect but the Framework version complains error C7612: profile doesn't support more than 32 samplers. needed to disable a few effects]

I made District 9 look even more lofi ;)
