Don't let these idiots get into your mind. Just ignore their harsh and unthankful words. For every one of them vocal, whinny ones there are hundreds that don't speak much or loudly that appreciate your work on ReShade and we very are grateful that you keep the thing alive.

First of all, thank you for developing and maintaining ReShade. There is almost NO game in which I don't use it; it's that good for me.
Second, I've been curious about something, and a recent patch note re-sparked that curiosity. What was the apparent issue with Valve games that was fixed in 3.0.7? While we're at it, I wanted to tell you that I can't use the depth-based shaders on any Valve games, and any Source-engine games for that matter, whether they're multi-player or not. And I know the Source engine does have a depth buffer, since fog is available throughout the games, and GMod has a vanilla DOF post-process effect.
If that's normal, then I'm fine by that. I just want to see if that can be fixed in any way; it would be pretty neat to have MXAO in TF2 .

Some Valve games make use of D3D9Ex without actually creating a D3D9Ex device, which could confuse ReShade sometimes. Nothing serious.Ayudon1 wrote: Second, I've been curious about something, and a recent patch note re-sparked that curiosity. What was the apparent issue with Valve games that was fixed in 3.0.7? All 3D games make use of a depth buffer, else things would look very strange because objects would be overlapping etc. But ReShade's detection algorithm doesn't pick it up everywhere: reshade.me/forum/general-discussion/3059...on-for-crosire#21441

What?MonarchX wrote: I take it the project is pretty much dead with so many features missing from 3.0, its no longer all that useful...
I use Reshade every day, as do tens of thousands -- if not hundreds of thousands -- of others.
And if you want new features, bugs fixed etc then pick up a programming manual and make the changes, and send in a patch to Crosire. He has a life, he's not here to service your requests.

If you don't care for Reshade then leave us in peace already, no one wants to read your bitter words. You didn't pay for this software and if you think you can do better, then go ahead and try.
I for one am very appreciative of what Crosire has done here. Crosire please don't let comments like his taint the great work you have done.

Actually I've been more than willing to help him in the past and although it didn't amount to much other than beta-testing, I still cared enough. Just like thousands of people who use ReShade for whatever graphical improvement, a big community of HTPC freaks who enjoy very accurate image during video playback thanks for 3DLUT's, also happen to enjoy the same level of image accuracy in games and so far there isn't a tool that could make it happen, other than ReShade's TuningPalette! There is a hardware 3DLUT device that can be purchased and that's some $400-600 + extra input lag. That makes FREE ReShade + FREE DisplayCAL (powered by FREE ArgyllCMS) of GREAT value to the HTPC-Gamer-Eye-Candy-Accuracy community. I know at least someone will back me up here. What sucks is that there doesn't even seem to be a plan to re-introduce that feature in the future builds of ReShade. Obviously nobody owes me anything and obviously my motives are partially selfish, but I am not sure what it is that could be said or done to incite desire to keep this project going with HTPC community in-mind! Some people respond well to criticism, others to praise, and I guess most respond real well to money, but I don't know what would work best to get that motivation going!

I really like this software but some of the games that used to work with the older versions of this software no longer work.
Can you at least reupload the last revision of each old version? e.g. v1.x, and v2.x? Please! 3.0 is cool but it broke a lot of my games...
