This last one is using Image SLI.

Basically, what's going on is that I am trying to get both shader depth settings to match each other. Both shaders had a Divergence set to 30 and Near Depth set to 100%.

This shows the subtle differences between the shaders. I just updated both.

Also Look what I got working in 3D ;) if there are any Blood Fans out there.

Install Reshade 3.0.4 This is needed to use some lighting & shadows. But, if you don't care for lighting use the newest one.
Install as OpenGL and override the opengl32.dll that was there. Use Glow/Bloom Shader from Reshade.
Install to \BloodCM\distr

Once that is done now you can install. High-Resolution Textures Pack for BloodCM game.

Put xhrp_05fix.zip and zip archives in \BloodCM\autoload folder and check "Enable autoload folder" checkbox in eduke32 setup window. If you don't want to use the textures just disable them in-game that way you can still have the 3D models.

Now the last thing is to start the game and set your settings.

To help fix the depth buffer with lighting & shadows use Console command r_pr_maxlightpasses "1".
This will limit the amount lights processed per surface. Seems to be a hard bug to fix in eduke32.
So I don't think this will get fixed anytime soon.

So I am working on getting eduke32 working with Polymer HRP and Duke Nukem 3D.



Prerequisites: Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition or Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour
Right now it's on sale at Humble Store.

A. Folder needed either one or the other. Not Both. :p
  1. Duke Nukem 3D
  2. Duke Nukem 3D Twentieth Anniversary World Tour
B. You would also need eduke32 The latest release. www.eduke32.com/
  1. Windows Download
  2. eduke32_latest.7z
  3. Extract, "B 2."
C. Place the contents of eduke32_latest into, "A 1 or A 2."

D. As for the High-Resolution Packs. Get them Here hrp.duke4.net/download.php
  1. Duke3D HRP v5.4 FULL SFX (986 MB) - Self-extracting archive with everything needed to play
  2. Duke3D PSX Highres Sounds v1.11 (7.3 MB)
  3. XXX Pack v1.33 - ;) Why not
E. Extract the ZIP files you need from the packs on top. The files you need should be;
  1. duke3d_hrp.zip
  2. duke3d_music-sc55.zip
  3. duke3d_psx.zip
  4. duke3d_xxx.zip
F. Place "E 1 - 4" into a folder called autoload.

G. Place the autoload folder into, "A 1 or A 2."
  1. Now, go to the autoload folder and extract duke3d_hrp.zip
  2. Open the file go to duke3d_hrp\highres\sprites.def
  3. Now with a basic text editor edit line 5.
  4. Line 5 should look like this. //include highres/sprites/firstperson.def
  5. Save.


H. Now go back and delete "E 1," aka duke3d_hrp.zip

I. Repack the duke3d_hrp folder using zip. I used 7-Zip. Once you have a new duke3d_hrp.zip file you can delete the folder.

J. Install Reshade 3.0.4 This is needed to use some lighting & shadows. But, if you don't care for lighting use the newest one.

K. Start eduke32.exe in the folder, "A 1 or A 2." Aka Duke Nukem 3D / Duke Nukem 3D Twentieth Anniversary World Tour
  1. Check Polymer, Enable "autoload" folder, and fullscreen if you like.
  2. Set Video mode and Input devices
  3. Click Start
L. Once in game press ` and open console.
  1. Use Console Command r_pr_maxlightpasses "1"
M. Now play the game.

Things to note.
The new version of Duke will have problems. forums.duke4.net/topic/8966-wip-world-to...mpatibility-stopgap/
The reason we have to disable the polymer weapon hands. Is that when it's on the screen it removes the rest of the z-Buffer.
The reason we have to use r_pr_maxlightpasses "1" is to correct a problem with the depth buffer when it set to high.
Using r_pr_maxlightpasses "1" will make the game darker. But, it's ok.
Mirrors in the game have problems avoid them.

Other than that my brain thinks that shooting a 3D projectile from a 2D gun is amazing for some reason.

No it's not. The newest setting are in the Experimental Folder. But, that getting updated on a day by day bases. It's meant to work with the new shader.

Just taking me time to get around to updating all the game settings. It's a time taking process.

I also had to reinstall my OS so... I got busy fixing that. So right now use shaders and setting from this folder.

Should be better and should work on both shaders now.

I am still working on this shader. I will review this game again when I have the time. Also if you really want more depth in a image you can override Divergence. Don't go to high.

On a side note I really recommend the shader Clarity.fx by Ioxa for this game. It works wonders.

If you have any problems please tell me. I will always try to help out if I can.

Does prey works for you with reshade 3.0.7 , it worked once the first the, then after I set some of the settings , quit and tried to enter, it doesn't work at all with reshade now. it just doesn't start .

Yes I'm using it Reshade 3.07 and NVidia 382.33 drivers and it works fine.

Also I'm using 1.9.6 shader.

Humm Just tested Prey with Nvidia driver 382.33 and Reshade Version 3.0.4

It seems to work for me. I installed as dxgi.dll so DirectX 10+

Try an older version of Reshade.

My mistake I wasn't clear

Reshade 3.0.7 and your shader 1.9.6 is working fine with Prey 2017.

Great work and a large Thank you for your shader.

Should be better and should work on both shaders now.

I am still working on this shader. I will review this game again when I have the time. Also if you really want more depth in a image you can override Divergence. Don't go to high.

On a side note I really recommend the shader Clarity.fx by Ioxa for this game. It works wonders.

Weapon Hand Bug now fixed as of 3:31 5/31/2017

Thanks it's much better now. Too bad it's impossible to get rid of halo around NPCs :(

Halo: Combat Evolved
(Halo 1 for PC)
This is vanilla install except I used this guide to enable 1080p: click here
Reshade for Dx9

I put the depth map on maximum because I'm playing on an VR HMD (vive) in Bigscreen which looks great. I have no idea what you would want if you're playing on a 3D display.

BTW, BlueSkyKnight, your guide for Portal 2 can also be applied to Half-Life 2, both episodes and Half-Life: Source. However you have to add the reshade DirectX dll to the bin folders. I actually have no idea if you need it in all the bin folders of each episode, but I pasted it into all of them just in case and they all work. For anyone reading this, sorry it's not a better guide, but you need to also enable access to the Depth Buffer by (after loading your game) opening the console and enabling cheats (sv_cheats 1), and type this command (r_drawvgui 0). I bind it to key I'm not using (bind "o" "r_drawvgui 0"). You can bind the enabling cheats to a key too (bind "i" "sv_cheats 1). Then, when you get in a new game, hit "i" then "o" and it should work.

Ya, I added Nier automata to the settings.

NieRAutomata DM 6 DM adjust 15

Also, make sure AA is off.
In this case, you may want to use SMAA shader from reshade.
