Hi. I'm new to Reshade. Is compatibility built in ? Or do I need to manually set any of the things mentioned in the list like "Game uses a reversed logarithmic depth buffer" ?

Game: MDK 2, MDK 2 HD
Status: Freeze on Startup

Reshade will freeze the game on the first intro logo [Bioware].

Most probably game engine [Engine name: Omen] problem. On Mdk 2 Hd, opengl dll of reshade freezes the game.

On Mdk 2, I had to use opengl 1.0 to directx wrapper and then used reshade's directx dlls and the game freezes in the exact same manner.

So it can't be a wrapper problem. Rather engine problem.

Hi guys, I'm new here, so I don't understand how this works (to be more correct, why it doesn't work).
I tried this on Test Drive Unlimited. The game runs, I can open settings overlay, but when I'm trying to start the game from main menu the game crashes.
Everything I can give is d3d9.log:

Yakuza Zero is working smooth with Reshade but after some tweaking
to make it work..you need to be sure disable FXAA from settings.ini
and make it Bordless or windowed

i hope you guys make it work with fullscreen

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse
Reshade 4.2.0, Direct3D 9 - requires d3d8tod9 to function.
Fully works without flaws if you set RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_LOGARITHMIC to 0.

Compatibility update on recent games:

- Tested and it works (depth buffer, sharpening, color correction, etc)
- Tested with ReShade 4.0.2 (with newest versions I had issues on starting ReShade menu, ReShade freezes and doesn't start, ReShade caption and message shows but 'freezed', game works on background, so is not a crash, it is a ReShade issue not on particular game.

Metro Exodus (4A Engine) => DX11 mode only (DirectX 11)
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice (FromSoftware custom engine)
Outward (Unity)


Note: I had some minor issues with last ReShade versions 4.1.x and onwards , in many games, so I use 4.0.2 as stable (at start, ReShade menu freezes) alt+tab or focus on desktop and then return to game could solve the issue.

Compatibility update on 7 Days to Die:
- Alpha 17 introduced an engine update
- Unity 2018.2.0f2, DirectX 11
- No depth buffer access

BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 both work perfectly, with depth buffer access for both titles.

BloodRayne requires you to use D3D8to9 and ReShade has to be configured with "Direct3D 10+" for it to work. It came across to me as strange as to selecting Direct3D 9 didn't allow ReShade to work on this particular title.

BloodRayne 2 is fully compatible with D3D8to9 and you can simply select Direct3D 9 within ReShade for it to work. The fan made BloodRayne 2 FSAA patch is fully compatible with ReShade apart from "Enhanced Dynamic Reflections" which will cause a crash in game whenever the game tries to play a cinematic. Simply not using Enhanced Dynamic Reflections solves this.

Tested with 4.2.1

No One Lives Forever 2 doesn't seem to work with d3d9.dll as hook as the compatibility list suggests. Any thoughts on this? I am not interested in using dgVoodoo's wrapper, as it degrades performance.

Freakin' finally managed to get Far Cry 2 to allow depth access.
32-bit DX10 (dxgi.dll), in game select DX10 and set Anti Aliasing to NONE,
then add/edit this to Dxgi.ini:
Under [GENERAL]

Worked perfectly.
Don't know about depth buffer.
Difficulties: the published executable on Steam is a SFX archive. To install ReShade, it's required to unarchive the game.

MewnBase (OpenGL)
Worked perfectly.

CrossCode + Reshader
won't work on my Radeon RX470
Works on Intel's iGPU but... Yeah, bad framerate
Game's window just closes right after launch and hangs as a background process
Tried ReShader 3.XX and also downgrading graphics card drivers from 19.9.2 to 19.8.2, but it won't budge

UPDATE: Here is a workaround
STEP 1: Disable MOBO screen(s)
STEP 2: Launch CrossCode
STEP 3 (optional): Enable MOBO screen(s)
STEP 4: ???
STEP 5: PROFIT
