I created a new algorithm though, much shorter and not relying on texture at all, maybe it works better with timer.

About my DOF, I did some further improvements, now even this compiles and runs with 30 fps (high blur radius to visualize offsets):
Comparable shape with GP65CJ042 DOF is impossible because it refuses to compile at quality > 10 or 11 and like GP DOF, my quality integer defines the number of rings. Here it's 20.

Is it possible that the gaussians flare use the "original" colour from the game / source? Call it "dynamic coloured gaussians flares".

Is the perfomance loos really that high?
If you can run other DoF methods at nice framerates, i dont think so.

I would love to use this effect, too.
I think the performance loss is worth the visual enhancement.

It would be my job, while access to the very previous frame is possible already (see the thread in general discussion), it's not possible yet to get access to frames further in the past (or in this case the depthbuffer), which is needed for a smooth fade.
EDIT: Update: Actually, it is somewhat possible already, using the technique described in that thread. It is be pretty heavy on memory resources though.
Apparently there's a way of fading the autofocus. As it stands it can't really be used during gameplay, because it's always blinking on and off. If it had a delay like in GTA5, or in ENB, it would be awesome.

framework uses for the most part the same effects in me its up to marty if framework should be using something new or updated i think he uses this thread for bug testing from users to see input on how well new things work before throwing it in framework just how it looks to me at least.
